Reading Artists‘ Books: Problem for Computers
The event Reading Artists’ Books: Problems for Computers is part of a Studium Fundamentale seminar on early computing and the arts, organised by Regine Ehleiter (Postdoctoral Researcher, Chair for Digital Arts and Arts Mediation, WittenLab). An international group of participants – including artists, theorists, and publishers – will present a selection of artists’ publications from the 1960s to the present. These works either critically engage with computational thinking within the analogue space of the printed page or incorporate early computer technologies in their production.
Each reading will last no longer than 10–15 minutes. This hybrid event is open to the general public. For online participation, please contact regine.ehleiter@uni-wh.de.
In cooperation with the research group Access to Cultural Goods in Digital Change at the University of Münster.
